Despite the cold and snowy weather the event went ahead with a reasonable turnout. There were approx. 25 people there on the day and the discussion was rich with good interaction from the audience.
Faiza Mukith (Islamophobia Response Unit) was able to share some emotional stories of individuals she had worked with.
A contribution from Hamda Mohamed (MAB Youth) in her summary speech, ‘We must get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable in order to tackle the issues at hand.’
Members of the audience thanked the panel guests for sharing their perspectives with one of the ladies in the audience saying she was, ‘…immensely proud of the women on the panel.’
