An IAM special conversation with Amina Shareef and Simina Dragos.

Amina Shareef is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cambridge. Her research explores the relationship between the state violence of the War on Terror and the racial violence against Muslim people on the street. In this conversation, Amina will present work that brings attention to the forms of life and power activated by violence enacted in the name of fighting terror.

In conversation with Amina is Simina Dragos. Simina is a an ESRC-funded PhD Candidate at the University of Cambridge. Her research addresses the politics of knowledge-making, particularly around history and collective memory. In doing so, she focuses on nationalism and anti-Roma racism in Romania.
