TFL Muslim Network – Friday Reflections
Transport for London’s Muslim Network hosted a reflection circle commemorating Islamophobia Awareness Month. The event was attended by more than 20 TFL employees who engaged in an interactive workshop on the topic of understanding the causes and cures of Islamophobia and specifically how it manifests in the workplace.
Some of the participants shared their own harrowing personal experiences of witnessing Islamophobia on public transport. The workshop then explored how best to react to witnessing an Islamophobic incident and how to be an active bystander (as opposed to a passive bystander).
The TFL Muslim Network also hosted an exhibition at their head office, the Palestra in Southwark.
