Our vision is to see a society free from Islamophobia in all of its forms.

What is our Mission?

Our mission is to raise awareness of Islamophobia and to showcase the positive contributions of Muslims in society.

How it all started

Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2012 by a group of organisations. It was launched through an event held in the London Muslim Centre in November 2012.

This event paved the way for what is now a globally-recognised campaign. Every November IAM is marked on calendars by schools, universities, NHS trusts, police, organisations, corporates and much more.

To encourage open discussion on topics related to IAMs mission.

Empowerment

To empower our wide audiences to apply their learning and contribute to positive change.

Stereotypes

To provide a counter-narrative that challenges stereotypes of Muslims.

Equality

To amplify Muslim voices within equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) practices.
