Islamophobia Training

Islamophobia Awareness Month training is designed to educate on Islamophobia and initiate discussions around it as an issue in society. Ideal for equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) spaces, training can be provided online or in-person by a member of the IAM team who will be happy to liaise with you about individual needs.
Email [email protected] to book.

The following workshops are currently available:

Islamophobia Training Workshop

Our Islamophobia Training workshop is designed to get the conversation going. We discuss the definition of Islamophobia, why it happens and what we can do to reduce it. The Islamophobia Awareness Month workshop is perfect for workplaces, schools and anywhere else looking to learn a bit more about Islamophobia as part of their EDI work.

Bystander Training

It’s one thing to recognise Islamophobia, but what do you do when you witness it? This workshop is a next-step to our Islamophobia Training Workshop, looking at what to do if you find yourself in such a situation. Interactive scenarios are coupled with informative next-steps, making this workshop ideal for those looking to be more active in tackling Islamophobia.

Triple Penalty Workshop

Ever thought about the experiences of Muslim women? Our Triple Penalty Workshop explores Islamophobia through the intersectionality of religion, gender and race. We take an in-depth look at how this shapes the experiences of Muslim women, often putting them at a disadvantage, particularly in the workplace. This workshop is ideal for those who have already had our Islamophobia Training Workshop, so would like to gain a deeper understanding of this aspect of Islamophobia and are looking to further their EDI learning.
