IAM Launch: Scottish Parliament

 On Wednesday 1st November, organisations from across the country took part in the Islamophobia Awareness Month event at the Scottish Parliament. This event, sponsored by Kaukab Stewart MSP, marked the first event of the 2023 campaign in Scotland.

The evening commenced with speakers including Kaukab Stewart MSP, Anas Sarwar MSP and Councillor Lezley Marion Cameron – Depute Lord Provost.
During the event, speakers discussed the importance of raising awareness of Islamophobia as well as highlighting the rich Muslim heritage in Scotland. Other organisations speaking at the event included; Police Scotland, Colourful Heritage and Amina MWRC.
