IAM2022 Launches in Scotland

On Tuesday 1st November, the launch of Islamophobia Awareness Month 2022 in Scotland took place in Edinburgh Central Mosque. The event included speeches from a range of speakers including Zara Mohammad of the Muslim Council of Britain, Anas Sarwar from the Scottish Labour Party as well as individuals from local community organisation and Police Scotland. The first segment of the evening was concluded with a poignant speech by Maulana Muhammad of Blackhall Mosque, Edinburgh. The second part of the evening took place in the Chaplaincy building of the University of Edinburgh where guests had time to socialise and enjoy some refreshments.
We would like to thank all of our guests and speakers for joining us for this special gathering. We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to Edinburgh Central Mosque and the University of Edinburgh Chaplaincy for hosting our event, as well as the Mosque Kitchen for generously providing catering for this event as an act of charity.
